Telephone Directories

In 1967, The General Post Office (GPO) decided to enhance the Telephone Directories of the British Isles with line illustrations. The front cover of each Directory featured a prominent building or landmark located in the principle town or city of a specific Directory Area. The commissions continued with Post Office Telecommunications and latterly British Telecom.
